Buying Guides

Practical buying knowledge for open cell and LCD panel procurement — written by the people who quote these panels daily.

How to read an open cell panel model number

Panel model numbers encode size and resolution. Decode them and half of your sourcing emails disappear.

BOE — e.g. HV430QUB-F7D

HV = TV panel family · 43 = diagonal in inches · QUB = UHD (3840×2160) generation code · suffix -F7D = interface/backlight revision. The same logic gives HV550QUB = 55" UHD, HV750QUB = 75" UHD, and FHB variants = Full HD.

LG Display — e.g. LC550DUY-SHA2

LC = LCD TV panel · 55 = diagonal · the letter pair after size indicates generation and resolution family: DUY = Full HD, DGJ/DQJ/EQQ = UHD families. The suffix after the dash specifies connector and backlight configuration.

CSOT — e.g. ST5461D20-5

ST = TV open cell · 54/55 ≈ 55" class · 61 = product generation · trailing code = interface/backlight variant. ST6451 = 65" class, ST7461 = 75" class, ST8461 = 85" class.

Unsure about a marking on your panel? Use our Panel Identification enquiry — send a label photo and we decode it.
